What is the nationality of those foreign buyers in Spain ?
They come from over 50 countries. They don’t just come from the UK, or France, or Germany exclusively. For example, the UK is only 14,5% of foreign buyers in Spain. And that proportion is going down. Here below the graph showing the key nationalities of international buyers in Spain in Q1 2017 :
The popular Spanish newspapers El Pais wrote an article in May 2017 [i] where they say that « 88% of all those transactions had an objective: sol y playa (sun and beach). “Around 47.000 properties were bought in Spanish provinces that have an access to the Mediterranean sea or the Atlantic»
