Buying real estate in Europe is easy… if you know this

Many people want to buy real estate abroad. But they don’t do it. If you’re one of them, what is the reason that prevents you from doing it ?

Chances are that you will say:

  • I don’t speak the language
  • I don’t know the market
  • Sounds complicated
  • I don’t have a good contact (estate agent, lawyer, etc.)

I bought 3 properties abroad… and it’s as easy as buying in your neighborhood

Personnally, I bought multiple times abroad already. Always in Europe. In France, and in Spain as well.

How to buy overseas in all simplicity ? I’ve always used these 4 partners, to make things easy :

  • property finder
  • architect
  • workers for the renovation
  • property manager

Of course, each one has a cost. But i’d rather take the cost and do it, than save the cost and do nothing.

The company that makes it a lot easier to buy overseas

Until recently, in Europe, all real estate companies were only interested in defending the seller’s interest.

In the U.S., there is almost always a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent. In Europe there is usually only a seller’s agent. That’s a problem.
Luckily, there are now companies that defend the buyer’s interest.
Out of these companies, there is one in particular that is becoming the European leader.

Essentially, what these companies do is:

  • property search
  • renovation (if necessary)
  • decoration (if necessary)
  • property management

The company that I’ve bought properties with, in both France and Spain in the past 3 years, is called Masteos. They’ve raised €55 million in the past 12 months, and count 400 employees in 3 European countries; France, Belgium, and Spain.

If you’re interested in investing in real estate in one of these 3 countries, you can schedule a call for free with their team.

Although the page mentions Spain only, you can ask to be redirected to another team if you’d rather invest in Belgium, or France.
In Spain, they cover Madrid, Barcelona, as well as Valencia. Spanish property prices are on average below €2,000 per square meter.
